From August 25 to 27, the ICCF 2026 Yangtze River Delta (Hangzhou) Cold Chain Technology & Fresh and Frozen Food Supply Chain Expo was held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. Our company assigned a dedicated four-member team to participate throughout the event. From pre-event planning and booth setup to on-site customer engagement and post-show dismantling, the team completed the four-day exhibition program, receiving more than 100 customer visits and holding in-depth discussions with companies and industry professionals from the food sector on the application of refrigerated containers in food cold chain operations.
Ahead of the exhibition, the team carried out comprehensive preparations in line with the event objectives, including booth planning, organization of display content, customer invitations, and visitor-flow and reception planning. On August 24, the team entered the venue to complete booth construction and commissioning. Every detail—from structural setup and exhibit arrangement to the preparation of promotional materials—was carefully checked to ensure the booth was fully ready for the opening of the exhibition.
Under the theme “A New Era for Cold Chain, Building a New Ecosystem Together,” this year's exhibition was held concurrently with the Liangzhilong 2026 2nd Zhejiang Cuisine Ingredients E-Commerce Festival and the 2026 New Retail Food Ingredients E-Commerce Festival. The events brought together a high concentration of downstream buyers from food processing, prepared foods, fresh food e-commerce, restaurant supply chains, and related sectors, creating an efficient platform for refrigerated container solutions to connect with real-world demand in the food industry.
More Than 100 Customer Visits During the Three-Day Exhibition
Over the three-day exhibition, the company's booth received more than 100 customer visits. Visitors represented a broad range of sectors, including food processing and frozen food trading, prepared foods and central kitchens, fresh food e-commerce and chain restaurant supply chains, as well as cold chain logistics and warehousing services.
During discussions, a similar view was expressed by a number of industry professionals: overall demand for food cold chain logistics continues to grow steadily, while requirements for transportation are evolving from simply “being able to transport” products to ensuring that they are “transported reliably and remain fully traceable.”
According to data released by the Cold Chain Logistics Committee of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), total demand for food cold chain logistics in China reached approximately 200 million tonnes in the first half of 2026, up 4.7% year on year, while total industry revenue amounted to approximately RMB 290.18 billion, an increase of 3.7% year on year. Meanwhile, the large-scale development of prepared foods and central kitchens, the continued penetration of instant retail and fresh food e-commerce, and the expansion of imported frozen foods and cross-border fresh produce are generating additional demand for cold chain transportation.
Changes in the structure of demand are also directing industry attention toward three key areas. First is compliance and traceability throughout the temperature-controlled process. Temperature compliance is increasingly being incorporated into food safety assessments, with customers requiring transportation conditions to be documented and traceable throughout the entire journey. Second is sustainability and lower carbon emissions. The adoption of environmentally friendly refrigerants, energy-efficient equipment, and new-energy transportation capacity continues to increase. Third is greater flexibility in transportation operations. Multi-temperature-zone distribution, multimodal transportation, and the integration of long-haul transportation with urban distribution are becoming increasingly common. These first-hand market insights provide valuable input for the company's ongoing development of refrigerated container products and application-specific solutions.
The exhibition delivered multiple benefits for the company, including greater brand exposure, new customer opportunities, and valuable experience for the team. Through focused product presentations and face-to-face discussions, more customers in the food industry gained a better understanding of the value that refrigerated containers can provide in food transportation applications. Engagement with domestic and international industry peers also enabled the company to gain further insight into technology trends and the evolving market landscape for cold chain equipment.
Looking ahead, the company will systematically follow up on the customer leads generated during the exhibition, further assess the specific requirements of food industry customers, and work to convert these discussions into practical business opportunities. At the same time, drawing on feedback collected at the event, the company will continue to enhance the temperature-control performance, energy efficiency, and supporting service solutions of its refrigerated container products, providing food industry customers with more reliable, transparent, and cost-effective cold chain transportation equipment and solutions.
