Recently, the project "Research and Development of Key Technologies and Equipment for Precision Logistics Preservation of Fruits and Vegetables and Their Industrial Application," jointly submitted by CIMC Group and its subsidiary Qingdao CIMC Special Reefer Co., Ltd. (QCSC) in collaboration with Zhejiang University and other research institutions, has been awarded the First Prize of the 2025 Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.

This achievement marks another significant scientific breakthrough for CIMC Group in the field of cold chain logistics and food preservation, following its consecutive provincial and ministerial-level First Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress in deep-sea welding technology. It fully demonstrates CIMC's multi-dimensional innovation capabilities in high-end equipment manufacturing and tackling key industrial technologies.
The Ministry of Education Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research is an authoritative national science and technology award open to universities and their collaborating institutions across China, designed to recognize outstanding achievements that have made significant contributions to fundamental research, technological invention, and scientific and technological progress. This award-winning project was led by Zhejiang University, with the participation of Qingdao CIMC Special Reefer Co., Ltd. (QCSC), the Jinan Fruit Research Institute of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, and other institutions. The recognition signifies that CIMC has achieved industry-leading status in the integration of cold chain equipment and agricultural product preservation technologies.

Leveraging the CIMC Cold Chain Research Institute as its core platform, Qingdao CIMC Special Reefer Co., Ltd. (QCSC) has built upon its established industry-university-research collaboration with the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science at Zhejiang University. Together, they have continuously tackled critical challenges in cold chain logistics for fresh agricultural products, including precision temperature control, quality monitoring, and intelligent equipment development. Through systematic research and development, the team has created key precision preservation technologies and supporting equipment applicable to the entire logistics chain for fruits and vegetables. The industrial application of these innovations has significantly enhanced the distribution efficiency and quality assurance of agricultural products, providing crucial support for the technological advancement of China's cold chain logistics industry and the implementation of the national Rural Revitalization Strategy.
